STAR Award Winner

Zack Blodgett, CNA, is the 2026 Q3 STAR Award Winner. He began his DCMH career in July 2025 and works as a lab assistant, also assisting in Cancer Care.

Born and raised in Greensburg, Zack holds his CNA license and is currently a nursing student in an accelerated nursing program. Zack lives with his family in Greensburg. Outside of his role, Zack enjoys going to the gym, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Zack’s professionalism, calming nature, and compassion earned him multiple STAR nominations this quarter. One nomination highlighted Zack’s ability to help a patient who was nervous to have her blood drawn. Zack reassured her and eased her fears, completing the draw smoothly. The patient noted Zack was professional, soothing, and confident, adding, “He has a great work ethic and should be commended.”

Another nominator noted Zack’s ability to help her and her husband in a difficult time. Zack eased both the patient and his wife’s concerns, providing excellent care with some humor that helped them feel calmer. The patient also noted that Zack was helpful and kind not only to patients but to his team, always extending support where needed.

Zack is proud to work with a great team, noting that his team and the community’s support have helped him succeed in his role. He notes he has made lifelong friends with his coworkers.
