GREENSBURG — Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) is hosting a blood drive provided by the Indiana Blood Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, at the Greensburg Elementary School. The blood drive will be taking place during DCMH’s annual Healthy Fair event. Everyone is encouraged to roll up their sleeves for those in need and sign up online at DonorPoint.org. Walk-ins are also welcome. All attendees who donate blood will be rewarded a free Live Here Give Here T-shirt. Visit our website at www.dcmh.net/blood-drive/ for more information.

Need a good reason? Indiana Blood Center provides blood to the Decatur County community and by donating, you could be helping a local resident. To make sure you are a qualified donor, check to see that you meet the following criteria: Must be at least 17 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds, must wait 56 days between donations, must be in good general health, and must not be pregnant. Donors are asked to remember to eat a meal, drink plenty of water before their appointment, and bring a photo ID with them.

If you have any questions about the blood drive or need assistance with the website, please call Amy Shearer at (812) 663-1228 or email amy.shearer@dcmh.net. Otherwise, come on out and give the gift that keeps on giving. We know you’ve got it in you!
