Decatur County Memorial Hospital honored their local volunteers on Monday, April 24, 2017. There were 45 out of a total 53 volunteers who attended. This luncheon recapped and reflected what a successful year the hospital has had and the great support from all of the volunteer staff. The luncheon was held at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital Conference Room D. Lunch was provided to all attendees.

This annual meeting gives the volunteers a chance to discuss upcoming changes to the hospital, ideas on better ways to serve the community and the hospital, as well as highlighting tremendous working efforts of each volunteer.

Volunteering at a hospital benefits the volunteer, the patients, the families and the hospital workers. The volunteer often benefits from meeting new people, learning new skills, gaining experience and improving self-worth. DCMH would like to personal thank their group of volunteers for all of their hard work. It definitely does not go unnoticed.
