GREENSBURG – Decatur County Memorial Hospital has been awarded HCAHPS five-star rating for patients’ experiences.

The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) Survey provides a basic measurement of a patient’s overall experience in hospital care. This survey is distributed randomly to a sample of patients throughout the course of the year. Some topics within the survey include: nurse and doctor communication, pain management, cleanliness of the hospital, and care transition.
