On Saturday October 21, 2023, DCMH hosted the annual Total Joint Day in partnership with Southern Indiana Orthopedics.
DCMH departments involved included, Surgery, Rehabilitation Services, Orthopedic Surgery, Marketing, Care Management, and Social Work.
Attendees received a free x-ray of either their hip, knee, or shoulder prior to the event. Then, at the event Dr. Douglas Federle and Dr. Eric Tannenbaum shared with attendees the current advancements in total joint replacements and surgical and non-surgical options to relieve joint pain or discomfort. The doctors also met individually with patients to discuss their x-ray results and next steps.
