Clinical Social Work
The principle purpose of the Social Workers at Decatur County Memorial Hospital is to provide services to patients and others who have social, psychological, environmental, and/or economical needs related to the impact of admission, diagnosis, treatment, discharge and/or after care. They are available to inpatients, observation, outpatients, swing bed, cancer care, and emergency patients.
Our Social Workers are available to provide, but not limited to, the following services: psychosocial assessment, discharge/transition planning, consultation, crisis intervention, education, community liaison, information and referral, and advocacy.

DCMH provides Chaplain Service to patients and their visitors. If you or a family member would like to speak to a Chaplain, please let the medical staff know.
