Greensburg was a winner on and off the volleyball court this season.
The Pirates, 26-8 and Class 3A sectional runner-up, helped raise money by hosting a “Pink Night” in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The “Pink Night,” held Tuesday, October 13, helped raise $482, which was donated to the Decatur County Memorial Hospital’s Pink Ribbon Fund. Proceeds from the sale of t-shirts, beads, bracelets, cookies and a 50/50 drawing will be used to help women with financial need get mammograms.
The Lady Pirates, under the direction of Coach June Rigney, would like to thank everyone who supported their efforts for this worthwhile cause.
