Decatur County Memorial Hospital welcomes board-certified Krystle Roberts, MD, to the Family Medicine team at Tree City Medical Partners. Dr. Roberts graduated with honors from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2014 and then completed her residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Roberts’s journey into medicine was unconventional. She grew up in a family that did not trust modern medicine; however, her perspective changed when her father suffered a heart attack right before she started college. Witnessing her father’s experience helped Dr. Roberts realize how medicine can truly make a difference. She set her sights on a profession in healthcare and decided she wanted to become a doctor.
During her training, Dr. Roberts noticed a growing gap between patients and doctors, which inspired her mission: to rebuild trust between them and provide comprehensive and heartfelt care. Dr. Roberts rebuilds this trust by ensuring patients feel valued, respected, listened to, and cared for during each visit as if they were her friends or family members.
