Angela Tucker was nominated by her physical therapist, Holly Koors. Angela demonstrates everything a physical therapist hopes to have in their patients. Angela first came into therapy several years ago after a decline, making her unable to walk well and in a wheelchair. She was later diagnosed with a disease that attacks her nervous system. With the help of the appropriate medication treatment and physical therapy, she was able to walk again. Since then, Angela has been in therapy multiple times over the years for areas of pain or decreased function. She praises physical therapy for helping her stay as active as she can with less pain. Angela has had nothing but a positive attitude throughout the entire time of her medical journey to improve her independence and decrease her pain. She has been treated by almost all of the physical therapists at DCMH, and we all love having her on our schedule. She is always optimistic and brings a smiling face into the clinic. She hasn’t had an easy journey, but her love for life and spunky personality are contagious to everyone around her. We are all so proud of her and the accomplishments she has pushed herself to obtain. She has been a great example to others to keep moving and stay positive to have the desired quality of life.
