Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) proudly announces the addition of Matthew DeWitt, DPM, a board-certified podiatric surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in podiatric medicine.
Dr. DeWitt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, graduating Cum Laude from Indiana University Bloomington. He went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, where he was a Dean’s List honoree. He completed his residency at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan, serving as Chief Podiatric Resident in 2003.
A Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and board-certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery, Dr. DeWitt specializes in deformity correction, trauma, and wound care. Throughout his career, he has been active in clinical research and served as principal investigator and sub-investigator for multiple national studies. He has also been committed to teaching, serving as a preceptor for podiatry and family practice residency programs in Indiana.
At DCMH, Dr. DeWitt will provide care for wound patients at the Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center, 720 N. Lincoln Street, Greensburg, and serve Foot and Ankle / Podiatry patients in the Rehabilitation & Medical Offices building, 902 N. Lincoln Street, 2nd Floor inside Decatur County Family Medicine.

Most recently residing in Muncie, Dr. DeWitt recently relocated to the Greensburg area. He has three grown children: his son recently graduated law school, one daughter is taking a gap year, and his youngest daughter attended Purdue University.
Outside of his practice, Dr. DeWitt enjoys cycling, both road and mountain biking, and recently completed a ride through Spain. He also enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors, including hiking portions of the Appalachian Trail.
