Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH), through their American Heart Association Training Center CPR Instructors, is partnering with Decatur County Schools to provide CPR and AED education to local county teachers. Sean Durbin, DCMH AHA CPR Instructor and Decatur County Health Department staffer, coordinated with School Resource Officer, Pat Richards to provide CPR classes at both North and South Decatur High Schools during the month of May. DCMH is looking forward to partnering with the Decatur County Community Schools through their school resource officers to ensure their teachers continue to receive the necessary resuscitation certifications and confidently perform this lifesaving skill.

DCMH has worked with Greensburg Community Schools for many years, providing annual CPR training for all school staff through the work of School Resource Officer, Bruce Copple. Various DCMH AHA Training Center instructors have also provided CPR training to teachers in both Saint Mary’s Catholic School and Good Shepard Christian Academy. DCMH is happy to provide this service to all schools within Decatur County.

DCMH also provides public CPR Classes at the hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone in the community to become CPR/AED certified. For more information, visit www.dcmh.net.
